We work with all the leading auditing software vendors
and can offer a tailored auditing solution for your
network. We can also provide trained audit consultants
to assist in the completion of a successful audit, and
we will configure the software to continue to audit

Health Check:
A periodic health check provides you with the confidence
that your audit system is running smoothly, and that
all machines in your environment are included in the
audit. Published patches and application updates will
also be installed under this service. With the constantly
changing face of IT, making sure your audit tool is
providing you with 100% coverage of all your machines
and sites can be difficult. Do you know what the latest
patches / fixes for your audit tool are or even what
version you currently have? Using our health check service,
we will make sure you continue to get the most from
your audit tool. During the health check we will: Review
your existing installation to make sure all sites /
machines are included Check licensing requirements Perform
basic maintenance tasks (such as reindexing databases
etc) Apply published patches Update the application
list with vendors latest version Identify training requirement
Application
Definition:
The best audit tool will identify around 80% of the applications in a typical
environment. We can teach the audit tool about the custom
or bespoke applications or newly released applications
that exist in your company, ensuring the audit is as
close to 100% accurate as possible. The accuracy of
audit tools varies depending on the tool itself and
the environment into which it is installed. Typically,
audit tools will provide between 50% and 80% recognition
'out of the box'. While this cuts down on the amount
of manual work required for an audit, to ensure proper
software management and to meet the requirements of
software vendors such as Microsoft, or organisations
like FAST or the BSA, this figure needs to be closer
to 100%. Most audit tools allow you to add custom or
bespoke applications to the recognised software list,
but this process can take time. Our team of consultants
can reduce the time required to provide 100% recognition.
Because of our familiarity with standard audit tools
and our experience in providing inventory solutions,
we can quickly and accurately add custom applications
to improve the recognition of your audit software.

FAST Certification:
As industry members of the Federation Against Software
Theft (FAST) we can assist in the daunting task of
receiving FAST certification. Our services and software
can form the basis of a successful compliance program.
The Federation Against Software Theft (FAST) provides
a certification program to help companies achieve
effective software management. The basic steps of
the certification program are:

Create
and implement software management policy

Undertake
a full software audit using a commercially available
product

Full
reconciliation of software found against licences,
take required action - purchase new licences or delete
as appropriate.

Implement
procedures for ongoing management, e.g. software licence
metering.
