How can I ensure I have 100% visibility of my IT assets?

An initial walkaround audit is the only way to ensure a 100% accurate inventory of all IT equipment, including printers, scanners, equipment in cupboards etc. To meet this type of requirement, Ensign have developed a tailored audit service which ensures the initial 'baseline' audit is 100% accurate.

What about equipment off the network?

Because this service is a physical audit, we can ensure that all assets are found and correctly identified. This includes redundant devices stored in cupboards or storage rooms, unconnected devices under desks, personal printers, PDAs etc. The best electronic audit solution will only detect and audit devices that are connected to the network at some time. A physical audit will ensure you understand that 'you don't know what you don't know'!

What other services do you offer?

In addition to carryiing out a physical audit, we can also ensure all machines are asset labelled, either with Ensign supplied labels, or customer supplied labels. We can also ensure all machines have an up to date virus scanner installed, or install service packs or patches.

What audit/ inventory solutions do you support?

We are familiar with all the leading audit products on the market, and our audit processes are designed in such a way as to be completely independent of the audit solution chosen. We can supply the audit software, or use an existing solution if the customer has already invested in one.
